Over the last decade there has been a greater focus on client assets, yet despite significant changes to the Client Assets Sourcebook since 2008, designed to increase the robustness of the regulatory requirements and protect investors in the event of insolvency, firms continue to be subject to rule breaches, and cases of regulatory enforcement.
Baringa and Signavio will host an interactive discussion on the 26th of May around how to significantly reduce the burden on firms to meet the regulatory obligation of client money / client asset protection, as defined in the FCA CASS Handbook.
Despite significant changes to the Client Assets Sourcebook since 2008, Compliance with the CASS rules does not appear to be getting any easier.
