Called “Fundamentals of BPM”, the course is designed to introduce BPM by working through each stage in the BPM life cycle.
The course is broken down into three courses of four weeks each:
Courses and Dates:
Course 1 – “Process identification and discovery”: 10 October to 6 November 2016
After completing this course, participants will be able to identify business processes within an organization, study their interrelationships, prioritize their management, and document business processes at the appropriate level of detail.
Course 2 – “Process analysis and redesign”: 21 November to 18 December 2016
Turning the current state into the future state - this course will cover qualitative and quantitative process analysis, and transformative and transactional process redesign. By the end of the course participants will, among other skills, be able to analyze processes to capture opportunities for improvement.
Course 3 – “Process implementation and monitoring”: 16 January to 12 February 2017
After completing the final course in the series, participants will be prepared to make the changes necessary to realize the improvements identified by their analysis, and monitor the new process for further opportunities. Suitable for anyone with an interest in organizational improvement initiative or related technologies, participants will see the methodologies applied using the Signavio Process Editor (a best in class tool), and have the opportunity to receive a certificate of achievement from QUT on completion.
